Objectives of the LUGRo-Mesh Network:
- Create a system that provides access to the information, to the habitants of Rosario and the surrounding area, which is redundant and completely developed in Free Software.
- That the LUGRo-Mesh Network serve to access the Internet from anywhere in the city and surrounding area without requesting payment for it.
- That through this platform as many people as possible have access to information, which is concentrated on the Internet.
- Enable the creation and diffusion of own content, both within the same network and the Internet.
- Diffusion and promotion of the LUGRo-Mesh Network, their components and related activities.
- Cooperation and work together with other groups, that share our goals and philosophy, to expand the LUGRo-Mesh Network or also for the creation of other networks.
- Creation of documentation and reports, group's own, about the Network.
- Apply knowledge acquired in other projects of the LUGRo-Mesh group, for the creation, maintenance, expansion and diffusion of the Network.
Characteristics of the LUGRo-Mesh Network:
- It is a Wireless Mesh Network.
- It is developed using only Free Software.
- It is Free, Communitary and Open.
- It is implemented using Free Protocols.
- Uses the technology 802.11 (also known as Wi-Fi).
- Uses low-cost hardware.

Phase 0
Definition of the objectives and characteristics of the network.Planification of the first links.
Phase 1
- Installation of the first nodes.
- Documentation of the build of the nodes.
Phase 2
- To promote the creation of more nodes within the city of Rosario and the surrounding area.
- Creation of technical and nontechnical documentation about the Network, for a wider diffusion of it.
